Tomtom one XL - Connect Phone

Hi,

I have a Tomtom One XL, and on the menu, i can go into manage phones. Should i be able to connect my mobile via Blutooth so i can answer calls / read text messages with this device? Does anyone else use this feature with their one XL? Thanks

I think this is a feature of the Go range, which is not included on the One's.

On the One XL you can use Bluetooth to pair your phone for receiving traffic and speed camera updates. It can't answer calls or send texts.

Nope can't be used to make or receive calls and texts. As another poster said, it can be used for traffic information which is why it has the Bluetooth logo on the box. Bit misleading if you ask me.

Don't be too concerned. I bought a 720 so I could use the bluetooth but it was useless reception. The speaker is too small and it doesn't mute your music. I ended up buying a Parrot 3100 for the phone and kept the SatNav as a......er......SatNav.

Whereas I find the hands-free phone feature of my 920 very satisfactory! (not that I use the music, so I did not know music was not muted).
