Hi, I'm looking for a new sat nav but wanted to purchase one if possible that will route around low bridges, weight restrictions etc I have done a little bit of research and have seen two units on offer. Snooper Truckmate and Pronav. Pronav is cheaper (and looks it) but does anybody have any experience of these units? Is the Snooper worth extra money? They do a cheaper version now so there is only £70 odd in it? Thanks!

the truckmate is a very nice unit that allows you to input details such as each axle weight and what type of load you are carrying. it also as access to snoopers enigma database which is a market leader.
snooper products are very easy to use and are reliable so that would be the one i would go for.
hope this helps a little!

The Snooper Truckmate is definitely the way to go. I had the opportunity to test the ProNav truck sat nav system but it is really, really bad. I was incredibly surprised as I was expecting it to be OK even if it is cheaper. Considering that the idea is to navigate a very expensive vehicle and it's cargo as safely as possible it just isn't up to the job. The Snooper on the otherhand works very well. Good routing, clear on-screen graphics - larger than normal sat navs so you can see them from a distance and of course the speed camera alerts are spot on, it even gives you speed limit alerts correct for the vehicle you are in. You won't be disappointed if you go down the Truckmate route.

The Snooper Truckmate Range ( s2000 or S600) is the one to go for we have supplied at lot of haulage firms with that unit and they are extremely happy with the way it performs here in the UK and in europe...
