Tom Tom 730T help needed

I have just purchase the 730T my phone connects to it (Its a Nokia N95) but I cannot get it to contact for traffic information .

Any Ideas

Have you paid for the TomTom GPRS traffic service?

If not, then the only traffic information you'll get comes from the TMC aerial you got with the kit - updated about every 15 minutes and useless in my experience.

I was told that the 730 T did not have to pay for this as it came with it .
The T is supposed to be for traffic , I dont mind paying but do I need to ?

There are 3 different traffic services available.

1) The free one you get when you buy the TMC aerial (as part of the 730T kit, or separately) - updates using a radio signal at 15 minute intervals, assuming you've connected the aerial (you'll see a new bar on the right hand side of the screen)

2) The GPRS mobile phone based one which connects regularly to get the latest traffic info - you have to sign up and pay for this

3) The new Traffic HD system (not available in the UK yet), which is a cross between the above two systems which also uses the mobile phone to get the latest update - however this version updates more regularly and uses live feedback from all the subscribers to get a more precise traffic map
