I've got a TT 1XL but am changing my phone and wondered if these are worth it and if so any recommendations please? It might be useful from time to time but if it is a gimmick and doesn't work very well it isn't worth the bother. I believe I can load my TT onto the phone. Is this right?

I have a Windows phone and use CoPilot Live on mine and find it really good. You can also get TT as you say. I did a lot of research and I really don't think there's much in it between them.

You can get satnav for all Windows phones and I daresay the cleverer Nokias etc. Probably only worth bothering if the phone has built in GPS, you don't want to be messing around with wires and charging GPS receivers.

For me I just bought a charging cradle with a screen sucker mount, and it does the job perfectly, it saves me carrying around a separate device.

It's not perfect - just as any device that tries to do lots of things gets upset from time to time - but I frequently have it navigating me while I am on the phone (bluetooth), connected to the net (updating my position if I want to be tracked wink ), or even searching for WiFi access points!!

It's very useable, go for it smile

France being still in the dark ages, I went to Orange to see about a new contract. They offered me a contract but as an existing client expect me to pay full price for a new phone unless I change my number. Go next door to SFR and lo and behold I've got the latest Nokia N95 8GB for £25 whereas with Orange they wanted £500. Oh, and I've kept the same number too!

Now the phone. Satnav, google earth, office, windows, MP3 and -er - rather complicated but I've managed to sort most things out, downloading from my computer my email addresses etc. and finding that all I have to do is click on a name and the satnav picks up the address. Also, wherever I am in the world the phone downloads automatically the maps for the country. I now need a car kit which I'll have to buy shortly. Only the beginning, but this computer (not a phone really) seems to be the future. All tips welcome!
