Which SD card for TTOne v1?

I tried putting a 4GB SD High Capacity Memory Card (Jessops) in my TT and it wasn't recognised? Is it too large?

Yes.

TT1 will take a 1Gb, might take a 2Gb (seems very picky) and wont take any SDHC.

Yup, agreed.
As you can't seem to buy an SD card smaller than 1Gb these days, I've had to do a deal with my teenager whereby I give him a free 2Gb memory card upgrade for his 2-year-old digital camera, and I get the old 500 Mb memory card to use in my Mk1 TT1.

Could I used one of the micro-SD cards that come with an SD adaptor? Can't seem to find anything but those!

Im running a 2gb card with european maps added on my TT 1 v1 .

Here's another one... are Tom Tom maps unit specific? Not just model (ie, TT1v1, TT1v2, etc) but actual serial numbered unit specific? Thanks!

Not sure , but when i had my 2g card added the bloke who did it needed the number on the TT so it would work in mine , so they are number specific and need coding ....
