Samsung U900 Soul

I have a TomTom Go720 which is excellent (especially now since I have just updated the maps) and all the data facilities and connections used to work great when paired with my Sony Ericsson phone. I now have a Samsung U900 Soul, which I can pair up Ok with the TomTom for bluetooth, but it won't do any of the data connections (traffic etc). Anyone any ideas how I can get round this ??
