Was just wondering, if I was not to set a destination and have the map showing while driving.

Would the sat nav still detect speed cameras and give your speed etc ?

I have one and the answer is yes. Though I have trouble updating mine and wouldn't rely solely on it for knowing where cameras are.

Not quite sure what you mean, can you ellaborate a bit?

My One XL aerts me to speed cameras whether a destination is set or not.
