US maps for Garmin C550

Has anyone purchased and used US maps for Garmin c550? Any problems? I am off to Florida next March and wondering whether to buy SD card version and use over there.

I purchased a Garmin SD card for North America from Amazon for my nüvi 660 - using it is dead easy:

All you do is:

1. Open box
2. Remove card
3. Plug in to GPS
4. Nothing else! No connecting to the Internet or anything like that, the card is plug and play.

To find an address in Canada or the US, you first spell the country, then the 'county'(they mean state in the US or province in Canada!), then the city, street etc.
