Just back from a fun weekend at Santa Pod, in no way thanks to my TomTom one, which to start with, allowed me to drive past the entrance, advising me that the raceway was still some 13 miles away! It then took me down a muddy road which led to a private field. Then it tried taking me across a private park! I gave up, used the map and found the entrance. Switched it back on, then the satnav calmly tells me i've arrived at my destination! No sh*t Sherlock!

Then the way home, it tries to send me NORTH up the A1, which is odd seeing as it was meant to be taking me home to Kent.

I'm a newbie to satnavs and i have to say, so far i'm not impressed at all.

Reset it - small button on back probably.

I've been using TomTom for 4 -5 years, it's got me lost once ... Reset it and all was well.

The TomToms are excellent, there is no way it should do what you describe unless

a. Something wrong (as in broken) - not likely
b. Needs resetting (quite likely)
c. Um, uer error (no offence intended) ...

1> have you got the latest map update?
2> Do you use or signed on with mapshare for corrections?
3> before resetting, make sure youve backup it up using TomTom Home
