Base maps out of date

Having an argument with my sat nav supplier and have discovered my base maps are 2 years old and not likely to be updated in near future

Anyone else have same problem?

Well, most sat nav maps are not as up-to-date as we'd all like them to be as it takes time to produce them from the data collected a year or so previously.

I'd assume most sat nav maps are 12 months old and only the systems with customisable map updates will be able to accept recent changes without having to buy new maps (which will also be 12 months old).

Which sat-nav is it anyway?

It would appear one company TomTom has bought up the digital map company so at moment no one else is getting any updated maps supplied One company Roadangel no longer sells satnav just camera warning devices
