Well my Tomtom 710 has finally died on me so i have decided its about time i get a new one.
I have been having a look into them today and have decided to either go for the cheaper Tomtom one V3 or alternatively spend a little more and for for the Tom Tom 520 or 920.
I spend a lot of my time on the road so tend to use the sat nav quite a lot, but just wondering whether its worth spending the extra for the 520/920. As i understand it the only difference between then 520 and 920 is that the 920 has Europe and US maps (neither of which i am likely to need). Im not quite sure how much difference there is between the TT one V3 and the 520/920, any thoughts?

520 and 920 were replaced by 530/930. Between these and the one come the XL's which had bigger screen, and route planning. The XL's add handsfree phone. The 930 adds Position Enhancement Tech, a remote, and some other nice to haves. Above the 930's come the Lives, which give good quality up to date traffic and other data for £8 per month. Even the top spec 940 Live (best price around £270?) is amazingly cheap and is the best version, if you like to have the best.
Hmm,
Just needed a cheap one for the car - full european mapping for 93quid delivered TomTom One V4 refurbished..
doesnt do hands free (alwasy thought it wasnt that clear), or traffic via TMC - but does do a mobile phone internet linkup... they dont have that exact model at moment but have a decent choice..
Dont see them point in spending a lot of cash on one, you'll replace it after 2-3 years when the maps need updating...
