I've got a choice of 2 Parrot kits to put in my car, they've come out of previous cars. One is a Parrot 32000LS Colour, the other is a Ck3100.

I actually preferred the 3100 due to it's less garish display, however I've been told that there is a way to upload your own screensaver/desktop to the 3200. Is that right? How do you do it?

Other considerations before I decide which one to install...phone is an iPhone 3GS, although I also have a work Nokia. Is there any way one of the Parrot systems will pair with 2 phones? Also, stereo is an Audi Concert with the Audi iPod cable retrofitted.

Any advice gratefully recieved!

Thanks!

Hi,

Having read the manual for the Parrot 3200 it claims that it will pair with up to 5 phones (but not simultaneously)

You can find out how to customise the wallpaper here:

http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/onlinehelpguides/...

The CK3200 will also allow you to have photo caller ID. Both the CK3100 and the CK3200 will work with a big range of phones (inc all the iPhones). You can see the full list in the 'Compatibility' section of the Parrot website.

Both kits can pair with up to 5 phones, but one at a time. If you have Bluetooth turned on in both phones and get in your car, the kit will automatically connect to the last phone it was connected to previously.

Ive got the Parrot 3200 in my van, its great smile Yes you can load up a pic from your mobile phone onto the screen if you wish. I have done it, but I didn't like the way the parrot displayed it so I went back to one of there own screen savers smile

Nice one guys, thanks. I just wanted something really simple and not bright/distracting...the Audi rings in red or grey on a black background would be perfect, shoudl that display OK?

Yep, that should display OK but the pic will be overwritten by the words Parrot 3200 When disconnected from the phone, then when your phone connects with the Parrot the pic will be overwritten with your user name smile

That's fine, I just did not want that tacky "car" or "mountain road" thing. Thanks again all.

I would recommend also updating the software on the device, this is done via Bluetooth, the program is downloaded for free from parrots website

the Audi headunit will have a mute on the back of the headunit aswell as a phone in connection

Right then, the Parrot is in and working fine, after a bit of fiddling with the mute connection.

One question, how do you "bluetooth" a picture from an iPhone? It only seems to give the options of sending am image via email or MMS. Any thoughts?

If it absolutley comes to it I guess I can MMS it to a mate's phone, then pair that, then upload that way via bluetooth but that's a bit messy!

Also, will the Parrot stretch or crop a screensaver? What's the optimum res/aspect ratio?

Cheers!
