I've just invested in the latest Nuvi, and yes it still takes you down country lanes with grass in the middle !!
Had a very interesting trip down to Salcombe 2 weeks back, although the route was a very quick/direct one
Nah that's just what all the roads are like down there!Had a very interesting trip down to Salcombe 2 weeks back, although the route was a very quick/direct one

On a serious note, i used to live there and you don't have to go venture too far off the main road to find roads with grass in the middle!
my garmin does the same i bought it about 4mths ago now i just ignore it if it tries to send me down a road which looks suspect or has a notice saying single track with loads of grass growin out of it,i had and old navman it sent me down a very small road in hertfordshire and i had to reverse about a quarter of a mile when i met a vehile who had the right of way not fun and car ended up with scrathes down the side from the trees and bushes.
Hello poison.Basically nothings changed then.Yes of course you can go passed a country lane and on ,but your route may have just been extended by so many miles ,and it might be better to turn back. Also if that lane had not been there the garmin may have taken you another way in the first place.
Drove me mad,shame.
