I'm very tempted by the £129 half price offer at Currys at the minute. Anyone else seen it? Is this a decent offer price or selling off old stock?

So the full price is a tad steep then.

Cheers!

One quick look on amazon give you £109.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/TomTom-Classic-Satellite-N...

My dad has one of these, its missing a few features I use a lot on my 530 but as a basic point to point unit its good.

I reckon a few minutes of googling would probably find one under £100 as its out of date tech now.

ETA: Half price haha .... well maybe when they first launched the XL what 2 or 3 years ago it was retailing at that price. Its been about £120 for *ages*, my dad picked his up at the beginning of the year for £120 and he got a free case with it.

That's UK and ROI maps. The Currys one is Europe maps.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. They want £85 for up-dated maps for my 720 and as I don't use the bluetooth or FM transmitter functions I might as well buy the XL and be done with it.

I agree £130 for an XL with European maps is good. I was trying to work out the difference from the XL Europe IQR which they sell for £180. The units look identical except for a silver trim round the screen. The IQR has IQ Routes and Advanced Lane guidance, whereas apparently the XL Classic does not - although I thought these features would be standard with current mapping.
