Hi all,

I'm off the France this weekend so decided to dig out my trusty tom tom, however it seems to be frozen on the reboot screen. I have tried to reset it using the secret button underneath but it just goes back to the reboot screen and freezes, it also does not connect to my laptop anymore.

Any ideas or is it time to upgrade?

Frederick

Try turning it off, plugging it into the PC and turning it on. You should be able to connect to tomtom home then.

Once you've got it connected, you should be able to delete the operating software from the device and redownload it through tomtom home. That should sort it, if not - time for a new one!

My friend had one that required you to boot without the memory card in before it would start properly with the maps and software

Thanks chaps, bit quiet in here isn’t it?

910 doesn’t have a memory card so I am guessing the hard disk inside has died, I bought a Tom tom 730 for now as it was on offer at halfords for £149, I will miss the USA maps though

Forgot to add if anyone is after a mint 910 for spares or repairs drop me a PM and make me an offer!
