I have a Pioneer AVIC-X1 which I am currently running with the two dvd mapping - version CNDV-60M.

Thinking of upgrading to the current three dvd version CNDV-90MT for obvious reasons.

Has anyone done it and if so was there any problems with the upgrade, was it worth the effort?

Many thanks for any input.

No problems with the new software, but I can't tell you if it's an improvement as I haven't used the car since.

I have been playing about with mine, no problems so far, it never ceases to amaze me how much information is on these now three DVDs.

What unit do you have and how old is it?

Have you had the "ribbon" changed yet?

its not really an effort.just plug the new disk in and wait for it to upgrade.as long as you dont turn the power up before the upgrade finishes it is straight forward.

and you get more up to date maps, pois etc...
