Nokia Maps - any good?

I've noticed that Nokia are now advertising free maps for the smart phones - how do they compare to deicated sat navs?

I'm going to Germany later in the year - do they do Western Europe?

Ovi maps for Nokia are a base application and you then download the maps you want/need.....Certain phones also give you free guided navigation....
