I'm getting a 2010 Audi TT next week.

I currently use a TomTom One (new edition, around 4 years old) and a Brodit mount in my current car (Honda Civic). I'd go with a Brodit mount again, but I don't like the position of the one they do for the TT (down by the gear stick).

Don't really want to use one that sticks to the window either.

Anyone out there using a TomTom in a new TT and got any better mounting solutions to the ones mentioned above?

Something that mounts on the vents would be ideal.

I had a similar dilemma when I bought my Mercedes CLC. My previous car a BMW had a Brodit mount for the centre vent, which was in the perfect position, sadly Brodit don't do a centre vent mount for the CLC. I bought one that is clipped to the centre tunnel next to the gear change, not ideal, but acceptable for the moment.

I too would be interested to hear of an alternative.

I used one of these in my (now sold) 2007 TT. I now use it in my Vantage, even though it has the OEM satnav fitted, as the £250 Tom Tom is far better!

Do they rally work ? They look like they would fly off the first time you cornered enthustastically.

Mine has a grippy rubber base and have never had it slip yet, even when 'making progress around a corner', although I don't use it when on trackdays wink

Only possible downside is in an accident.
