Which sat nav is best for mobile speed traps
Discussion
Almost any satnav can pick these up, you just need to install the correct database.
Right now I would go for one of the Navman offers in Morrisons at £39.95
Less than £40 and the Mio M30/M300 comes with a free 12 month camera subscription which is actually quite accurate.
I just bought one and loaded my main camera database onto it as well as the free one and it's pretty much spot on.
You can set the device to alert you up to 2Km away, so plenty of time to hit the brakes prior having your portrait taken.
Apart from the deals in Morrisons you can't go wrong with either a Tom Tom, Navman or a Mio.
Even your mobile phone might have the capability , however I have yet to find a phone that's as good as a dedicated Satnav.

I seriously doubt any of these will help you prevent getting snapped by a "MOBILE" unit. Right now I would go for one of the Navman offers in Morrisons at £39.95

The Road Angel Professional has the ability to alert other RA users of the location of current existing mobile units and also stores the locations of popular spots where plod likes to hide. The unit is not cheap and will not help you if you happen upon a mobile van that has just set up and not been logged by another RA user. Even a top of the line laser detector may not alert you in time to anchor on before plod has zapped you. I use the RA and feel it's worth the price as it has saved me points on my license on a number of occassions. That makes it worth the investment.
If you use the search on here, you'll find lots of good advice from detector specialists. There are also specific titles in the PH homepage, left column. Click on SPEED/POLICE.
i have a laser parking aid that happens to be on the same frequency as the speed guns. of course i turn it of if it accidentally picks up a police signal as that would be illegal to interfere with it
got my first laser defuser 15 odd years ago after getting caught on my way down to cornwal. it dint go off for years but then twice in one day it saved me. have updated to the latest parking senser !!!
also run a snooper rd600+ for the fixed cameras... I have found you drive much more conservatively with this devices for some reason.
