Just got a new 550 Live and delighted to find the camera alerts make noise when the commentary is switched off, unlike my old 720 unit.

Been using it for a few days and the camera alerts seem to be switching off and occasionally returning.

Anybody else had this problem..?

I've had something similar on my 750

On a regular journey the camera locations sometimes disappear.

Next day they're there.

Worrying if this happens in areas I don't know. I like to know I'm approaching an accident blackspot so I can be extra vigilant.

I have just bought a 550. Tried the camera alerts expecting it to be great as its road angel based. Disappointed to find dits crap, alerts are just a noise no info, didnt have mobile hot spots and just didnt seem to work sometimes. So I've gone back to the pocketgps database, its way better and the alerts tell you the type of camera and the speed limit verbally

You get an icon showing the speed limit and fixed or mobile, together with location on the map.

Yes I have 950 live and ever since I've had it it has a mind of it's own! Sometimes camera alerts work, sometimes they don'tranting

On a side note how do I get it to always show petrol stations. I find this very useful on the wifes bmw built in satnav.

I might have cracked it.

Hold down the on/off button for 15 seconds and the unit resets itself.

Did this and the camera alerts are working again.
