Hi

I have got an old GO 510 and I,am thinking of getting an new Tom Tom XL2 IQ, are they any good or are there any problems or advantages over the old Go 510, answer on a postcard please

No memory card expansion slot so the units loaded with European mapping are problematic due to having to install "zoned" maps which is far from ideal if you plan on making a long mainland European based trip.
Built in USB interface is only USB-1 so data transfers to/ from the device can take a considerable ammount of time.

Once updated to the latest Navcore the device isn't too bad but bear in mind the above and its got no Bluetooth capability unlike your 510 - Mike

Went Halfords yesterday to have a look and it does not have itinery planning either so I will probabrly wait till new year and see if there are any sales and get another model

Why not consider a 530 refurb, you can't really tell the difference between these and a brandnew unit but the cost saving is considerable see Here - Mike

I have decided that the GO 750 is the one I want and they have them on that link so will get one of those
