Nokia ovi maps

Is anyone using a phone with ovi maps as their main navigation device?

Despite the smaller screen size, how does a Nokia phone stack up against a traditional sat nav device?

I use a nokia 5800 express with it installed..

I don't use voice but has worked well to get to general direction, had a few times not pin pointing the actual address...which can be a ball ache as you end up going on a detour, but might just be me,,

I use my Nokia N8 with Ovi maps all the time. I find it as good as the TomTom XL I used last Summer for a week in the Peak District. With the N8 You get a good scale map screen for driving or a choice of displays (eg Turn-By-Turn arrows), decent volume on the speaker and (I think) some live traffic info, depending on your data connection. It shows Traffic Cameras really accurately too. A friend of mine just took his to the USA and said it was very good over in Florida (in offline mode to save roaming charges - the GPS still functions perfectly in Offline mode) Overall I like it a lot and wouldn't bother with a separate Satnav personally.
