Using a SD card with North American maps on Garmin 3790

Hi,

I have a Garmin 3790T with the European maps. It has a slot for a SD card, and I was going to buy the North American maps preloaded on the SD card. On the Garmin website it indicates that there are three ways to get the maps, preloaded SD card, DVD, or download. In the download section it states "Please note, these full-version maps DO NOT contain premium content such as Lane Assist and Junction View. These features only are available on the preloaded maps within your device..." This statement is only in the download section, and it is not repeated in the SD card section.

Has anyone bought the preloaded SD card for North America, and if so, does lanes assist work?

Don't get a pre-loaded SD card as your device uses a Micro SD card, I would check the issue with Garmin to be honest as I would think the info on their web site is rather out of date - Mike

Garmin send you the MicroSD card WITH an SD adaptor.
