Professional driving standards.

Today in the small town where I live, roadworks were blocking half the width of the main street, and a traffic management system was in place. Not a major issue, really, assuming everyone behaves in an intelligent, unselfish manner, but...
I was stopped at the "when red light shows, stop here", sign, waiting for the lights to change, but, cars behind me stopped nose to tail blocking a side road, preventing oncoming vehicles from turning right. And there was, inevitably, one who wanted to turn right. And he stuck to his guns, insisting he ought to be permitted to turn right, with traffic backing up behind him, stuck in the roadworks, and the traffic lights changing, but to no avail, since the clown who blocked the side road, and the clown who insisted upon turning right, were both, in their own ways impeding traffic flow.
Now, I lost patience, and bellowed at the guy who wanted to turn right that, were he to drive a few yards further, to the roundabout, and return, the traffic could flow, and we'd all make progress... He wouldn't, so we were all stuck for a couple of light changes... He eventually got his way, but it really didn't help the traffic flow. And, really, under the circumstances, a quick decision was necessary, since the line of traffic he was attempting to break through was likely to get longer, perhaps to the extent it prevented the roundabout strategy...
I can understand he might not have liked a civilian such as me shouting at him in his Battenburg marked pickup truck (Fire/Police shared use) with its light bar... I don't know if he was a copper or fireman, but his decision making skills were questionable. He did take the trouble, it transpired from my rear camera footage, to check out my index... We'll see.
But, whatever, you might have thought a "professional" driver could have seen the best and quickest way out of the situation, even if it was caused by a dopey civilian) I used to let these things go, but since I had my dashcams fitted, (because I see ever poorer standards of driving daily) and can review the footage... The annoyance increases.
