After asking about it previously on this forum, and meeting with a couple of observers, I'm still interested in doing the IAM course in the upcoming year.
Due to various reasons I didnt find a group that I could get on with, timings, the way they run the course, etc.

Can anyone reccomend a friendly, and accepting local group that I could join and could help me pass the test?

I am from Leeds, and am currently in Sheffield at Uni, and I am prepared to drive out (duh!) to meetings, to open out the choice. So it could be anywhere between Leeds and Sheffield, Rotherham, Wakefield, etc, or anywhere south of Sheffield as far as about Chesterfield.

Is anyone on the forum in this area? Traipsing round every Sunday morning talking to different people is not really practical, not going to get me anywhere, and not very fair.

Thanks!

Why do you need to "traipse round"? The option will be a group that does a fixed length course, normally on a Sunday, or a group that allocates an Observer to you for the duration. And even the fixed length groups should be able to be flexible enough to accommodate people who can't make every Sunday for n weeks, like shift workers.
Pick one and get on with it!driving
