Advanced driving VS Supercar driving
Discussion
I have a Birthday coming up and have been asked if I fancy one of those drive a Ferrari/Lambo on a track events which would be very nice but I doubt I'd gain much apart from the memory of driving a fast car round some corners with an instructor sat next to me.
TBH I would much rather have a day/half day advanced performance road driving tuition, I feel I would get far far more from this as opposed to half a dozen laps round a track in a super car.
'I' think my road driving is at a reasonable level but I doubt it actually is.
So any reccomendations for performance road driver training in the region of £300.

RideDrive come very highly rated - never used them personally but friends have and speak very highly of them. £300 would get you a full day course...

I did a day with Ride Drive yesterday. It was £350 for a full day learning advanced road driving skills plus some time on 'track' learning the limits & capabilities of my car. I'll be doing a write up on the thread I started in here later on, but in summary they were absolutely brilliant

+1 for www.RideDrive.co.uk who are utterly brilliant
I've done days with them on car and bike. Superb.

No complaints about Dave at uptwospeed.co.uk who is also a ridedrive instructor
seriously though, consider a run out with your local RoADAR / IAM group - our RoADAR group is especially symapthetic to 'sports car' drivers I like to think. Its only £20 to join for the year and you get all the observed driving / tuition you want
Once you have done a couple of sessions, I am sure you will then know what to tell the ride drive (or whoever) instructor that you want. By doing that you get more out of it and they earn their corn too :-)
I'd say two x half day is better than 1 x full day to get going - there can be a lot to take in
