V70 and XC70 Boot Size

Can those of you with V70 or XC70 of both current and previous model do a bit of measuring for me? Wondering what the height of the boot opening is, in terms of how big a box I could fit in it.

Ordering a dog crate for my current Shogun but don't want to shoot myself in the wallet when I come to change the car. Was quite surprised how small the V60 is so don't want to get caught out with the likely candidates.

79cm x 83 cm at it's most narrow, 86cm x 69 cm at it's widest.

That's on a P2 (2000-2008)

I've a P3 V70. Post the height and width of your dog crate and I will tell you if it will go in.
Like you, I was tempted by a V60 but its more 'modern' shape meant that it was not suitable for my specific load requirements.

That's difficult as both the sides and the top are curved.
You could have your cage tall and narrow or short and wide .
Okay - so what size would you make it if you were only taking your present car into consideration ?
