Volvo 340 engine conversion

Hi,
Me and a friend have just bought a Volvo 340 to use for the STA Student Gumball Rally (Dover to Croatia) and we quite fancy a bit more power.

The engine is currently a 1721 cc engine on carbs, however, I have previosuly owned a 440 glt with the same capacity however turbocharged and was thinking as the engine is based on the same block would it be a fairly easy conversion. 133 BHP would be alot more interesting!
Has anyone ever done this conversion? or now perhaps point me towards a different forum?

It has been done, bits get in teh way of the turbocharger on the 340, they had to cut and reweld the exhaust manifold the other way around.
