Further to my earlier post, my newly acquired C70 cabriolet has another annoying problem, which leads me to ask if there are any experts on air vents out there!?

The vanes that direct air on the passenger side of the central air vent move independently, regardless of where the slider is positioned. Is there a bar that runs across the top/bottom of the vanes that can become disconnected?

If so, I anticipate it is just a matter of removing the unit and reconnecting said bar. (I just don't want to risk trying to remove it without knowing I can fix it first!). If it is broken, is this something that Volvo would replace under manufacturer's warranty..?

Best ease the vent out of the fascia with a teaspoon or some other device so as not to mark anything and you should find that the bits at the back have become unclipped.

On the other post of yours you will get a better audience at www.volvoclub.org.uk

Greatest respect to this Volvo section of PH....

Regards, Don.

Cheers Don.

Have registered and posted thread about the ProLogic annoying problem on the Volvoclub site now too. Thanks for the tip on that.

Edited to add: teaspoon - ideal tool for the job, which is now done. Well pleased too I am!

Not having any lucky with the other (ProLogic) probelm though....
