Am trying to get my 1980s Wild One running again but the only problem is the dreaded gearbox! Back in the 80s it went through many sets of replacement parts - I have at least 2 sets of gearbox cases, bevel gears, spur gears, half shafts etc but I can't put together a gearbox that works.

I've tried reshimming the thing using various different size washers and even tried using the small tamiya bearing which a few people recommend, but all to no avail. I've also read suggestions about using a Thorp ball differential (IIRC) if you can find one on ebay but I've never found enough information detailing exactly which parts I would require.

My current thinking is to try and find out what gearbox the re-released Fast Attack Vehicle uses as I think this is due out this month.

Any thoughts/ offers of help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks.
