The only bit I have is one of these:

I know Wrenn did the Belle set in both brown and cream and grey and white colour schemes and I think the colour of the internal plastic may have changed once or twice. Off hand I couldn't tell you which was which but I'm sure every seller will tell you that the one they're selling is extra rare.
At a recent model rail exhibition I did see Brighton Belle train packs for sale at £200-300 or maybe a bit more. The brown and cream ones seem to fetch more money.
Your best bet is probably to go somewhere like www.modelrailforum.com where I'm sure they'll tell you anything you want to know. There is even an area for non-members to post questions so you don't have to register if you don't want.

Was very smooth, powerful and quiet. Not sure how it will respond to DCC though...
Got a few bits of rolling stock too - very nicely built. I'd describe Wrenn stuff as 'solid'.

If you mean digital, yes, it's fine. All I needed to do was clean the wheels and contacts and after a bit of a push it was off. (Not my track but the neighbours)http://blokewithacamera.co.uk/Pix/L1040522.wmv

I'm just about to start on a layout for my Dad and my son (and me) to play with. I've got quite a few old Hornby locomotives from the '80's (Mallard, Duchess of Sutherland etc), but according to the Model Rail forum experts they aren't worth rebuilding and fitting with DCC (wouldn't work very well). Shame becasue new locos are expensive. Your video seems to disprove all that.

Thanks for the response. (Keep all the train things coming on this thread though, takes me back 10-15 years

There seemed to be no difference. You could either change speed with the controller or do an 'auto-stop' of a preset duration when you pressed a button. I just saw it as two bits of metal with 12V in them 
ETA: I don't think the auto slow start worked but I put that down to the mechanics not being as shiny and well-lubricated as they had been.
