Etronix Pulse EX3 Pro 2.4GHz installed - setup??

Hi all, just fitted the above 3 channel 2.4GHz system to the s/h brushless converted Ansmann Hogzilla Truggy that I acquired of t'EBay a few months back to replace the tired old Tamyia crystal set that it came with.
Managed to 'pair' the TX to the RX OK and used the menus to set the end travel for the steering servo with no issues.
The only thing is the throttle (after reversing the settings in the menu) doesn't appear to offer me the option to go backwards any more!!
Not sure what settings I need to change in the menu, so any help much appreciated!
ETA that with the 'servos' not reversed on the TX, I do seem to get a degree of forwards and backwards travel, albeit the wrong way round in relation to the stick movements!
