Looking on Jalopnik I stumbled across this story, basically for the last 15 years this bloke has been using RC earth moving equipment to dig a basement.

It's a fantastic concept, but I can't help but feel it's almost too small in terms of scale (no, not that scale). Imagining the same thing with computers controlling it all, running around the clock automatically would be -really- cool, and wouldn't give off quite the same 'too much time on his hands' kind of vibe that controlling each individual vehicle does.http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=...

Yup it would be impressive, I think however the problem would be when things go wrong, part of the reason it has taken so long is due to poor quality parts being used in the models resulting in them failing. I imagine to computerise it would take a lot of money making sure all the components were up to scratch and could handle being run 24/7.Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
