I know these won't be up to the standard of most of you guys, but I've hung on to these because they all mean something to me. I'm looking at rebuilding a bit of a collection, but I will definitely be keeping these.

I don't actually know what this one is (make wise, I know it's a cartoon-ed Mini), but it was bought for one of my birthdays by my first girlfriend:

This one was bought for me by my Grandmother on Scarborough front. It's made out of some sort of clay material and is very heavy - I really like this one.

This was one of three trams bought for me by my grandmother when I was about 9/10. This one is in pristine condition. I also have a baloon car(?) which is in good condition, but has lost it's pantograph. The other tram was crashed into walls just too many times!

This was the first diecast I bought myself - from Woolworths, I think. It's only a Maisto model, but I still like it. It would be nice to have a better model of the same car though!

That mini is really cool biggrin

I have a Maisto mk II just like that, one of the few which didn't get blown up in my younger years. hehe

What are your selection based on?

Memories, ownership... aesthetic appeal etc...
So far the majority of models I've got were gifts. So the stuff I've already got will be kept, but probably not along side my AutoART model(s). I had a massive fixation with Mk2 Jags which explains those. I still really like them, and will definitely be getting the Model Icons Morse Jag (not because it's Morse's, but because it's beautiful!).

Generally I'm trying to go for road cars - liveried stuff doesn't appeal to me. Stuff from the 60s/70s/80s really appeals.

I also particulaly appreciate the Morse Jag.

Usually I tend to sway towards 'want' cars. Though I have a 4year old nephew who enjoys crashing... I am torn between giving my models life, and protecting them forever!
I've got a list of cars I'd like in the short term. I'd like an MGB, BMW 2000 touring, the morse jag, a white MK2 jag. There's a bus I'd like too (classic, local bus companie's still got one for weddings and there's a model with their livery) and a couple of trams too.

My main point of display was my office desk. I had a random collection of all sorts, not just cars.
I used to be madly into trams when I was little, after a couple of visits to Crich. My grandparents got me the couple of tram models I've got now, but there are a couple more I've been on that I'd like models of. Not worried about quality of those - more of a souvenir than anything else.
