Can anybody with any experience of this brand please advise how they compare with Tamiya...

Doesn't appear so - I'd never heard of them and I was making scale models when all this were fields (although I've not made one for about 30 years! biggrin)

That said, after a little research, I think I had one of their 1:12 Countachs.

Not as good as Tamiya, I'd say, but not bad (a bit like Hasegawa).

I remember the name being around in the 70s and 80s. I've never built an Otaki kit so can't comment on how good they were. My hunch would be that, in their time, they would not have been as good as a contemporary Tamiya.

There's one on the 'bay at present... And one of my lads fancies giving it a go...

Used to build Tamiya's myself, back in the day, but haven't done so for a few years [decades!]...
