Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm trying to find the right hand side chassis section for a Porsche 959 remote control tamiya. I damaged the car many years ago and have recently started to build it back up again. I have got everything including the original servos and remote for the car but I'm waiting to find the chassis section so I can put it all back together.

Can anybody help with my search for his item?

Is that the Rally 959 ( 1 / 18th I think ) ?

I still have the Toyota Celica which had the same chassis, my brother had the 959.

I've got some parts in the garage for the cars from when our local model shop in Canterbury burnt down ( really ! ). They sold off all the parts cheap so I bought all the ones they had.

What was the exact part you need?

Yes the Rothermans coloured 959 car, I think I might have the part no. at home from previous searches so I will have a good search for that tonight and post it later.

That's the one, I meant 1/12th not 1/18th!

I'm pretty sure the chassis was the same as the Toyota, the body and body mounting posts were different to accommodate the 959 body.

You had me wondering but i didn't think it was small enough to be a 1/18th model...

I didn't realise both cars shared the same chassis, I thought the Porsche model was unique to that car so if all else fails I can now open my search critia further on places like eBay which hopefully bring me more luck.

Very similar, just a couple of differences between the models :

I didn't realise they were collectable, I still have the Celica - body is a bit beaten up but it still works.

I'd try www.etamiya.com they had the vintage tamiya parts I was looking for, very quick postage and great prices. Alternatively try this guy on ebay i've got parts from him as well. A good guy to deal with. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Tonys-Tamiya-Parts
