Fairly new to Radio Controlled cars.
I've just bought an Ansmann Mad Rat already built from Ebay.
The suspension needs adjusting to align front wheels and to remove massive positive camber on rear wheels.
The ends of the suspension arms screw for adjustment. However, to make an adjustment I need to disconnect the ends which are balljoints.
I have the manual but it only shows pictures without any explanatory text.
Do the balljoints just pop off?
Is there a considered best practice way of doing this?

They will screw onto the shock shaft. Best way is to get some pliers, grip as close to the balljoint as possible using the cutter part of the pliers to grip to the shock shaft, then just unscrew the balljoint

The tie-rods may have right and left handed threads at either end. If they do you just need to turn them with a pair of pliers/grips to adjust. I can't say which way to turn as it will depend on which way around they are fitted - a few turns one way will be enough to measure a change and if you've gone the wrong way just return to your orignal and reverse the direction.

Ball joint pliers do the job. They come in different sizes and the heli ones I have are a bit small for the rc car stuff.

Is your mad rat brushless ? My son is getting the hang of his and today was the first time we brought it home in one piece - insane performance !
