Hi all,

Hope its ok to post this in here, got my first Radio controlled helicopter the other day, an E-flite Blade SR RTF. £155 and comes with everything needed to fly out of the box and tested at the factory. Seems a great bit of kit, I shall be buying the training skids though.
Here is a picture with my phone to show the size

Looking forward to having a flight with it.

James.

Does look good fun, I've been waiting for the wind to drop here, i've had one flight so far with just a bit of hovering. The training skids should make it more stable to start with though.

I got it from Als Hobbies, they seemed very good with the delivery

Good luck with it, get plenty of spares.

Unfortunately this is not a starter heli despite what it says on the box. I've had horrendous problems with mine to the point where I sent it back to Horizon Hobby for them to look at, it seems that parts were missing from it which caused the head to be loose and in turn fall back and crack the tail boom.

Don't get disheartened if you do have problems with it, it's simply not a starter Heli.

Edit - Good resource thread for the SR http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11...

Get and SIM! It will save you a fortune in parts.

Realflight is ok - there are probably better ones out there now

Phoenix is good and it's got the SR as a flyable model.

Thanks guys -

CharlieCrocodile , It does seem rather twitchy to be honest. The read tail rotor seems to a bit off too, very random in the way it comes on, Many thanks for the forum link though. I shall have a look.
the more I read, there does seem to ba a few tail rotor problems on other forums.

LotusMartin, Thanks for that, I just buy Realfight, get the hang of it on that first I think.
