?? Presumably driving an i40 he's not really into cars anyway... unless he's really into diecast models?!

Get him a crate of beer instead!

I don't think you'd be able to get any Hyundai as a scale model (as opposed to a toy) with the possible exception of some of the rally cars.

He decided to hang up his boots and retire at 70 - as a gift to himself he ordered a spanking new i40 Tourer in white , and I have to say that IMHO its the best looking estate car on the roads , the spec is fantastic , the build quality is fantastic and the 5 year warranty is fantastic. It really is a first class car - you have to look past badge snobbery.
He is a petrol head, but he has never had disposable income to indulge his passion. He was an avid model maker in his younger days . Getting him a scale model of his car would in my eyes put a huge smile on his face. This is also the first car he has ever owned where he has been the first and only owner - all other cars in his 50+ years of driving have been second hand or company cars. The words pride and joy , in his case , are spot on .
You dont need to drive an expensive car to have a true passion for them. Im starting to think if you dont drive a Porsche , Ferrari , TVR , Lambo on this site then you are effectively far down in the food chain.

As long as he was a powerfully built Company Director before retiring, it's ok wink

I think you're out of luck on the Hyundai diecast, though, I'm afraid - I had a look the usual places and there's no sign of one yet.

I'm not sure about an i40 Tourer but Welly do produce some Hyundai models. I've seen i10 and i30 in 1/24 scale and they are pretty good.

Looks like they are only available in Europe though so you might need to doa bit of searching! Might be worth asking the dealership as well.
