Great news for fans of Pocher 1/8 kits:

Only have to wait until 30 Jan for the announcement.

What could it be? yum

Whatever it is, it had better be very, very good. Their last models were diabolical.

ETA Oh dear - I just found out that Pocher was bought by Hornby.

Hornby = Airfix.

This doesn't bode well.

At a guess £450 - £750. Recently a Pocher on Thingybay, in UK, for circa £1000 IIRC.

Didn't realise that Pocher did a 993. I've got the F40 and Testarossa, plus an unbuilt F40 with a rather nice transkit - photoetch chassis, machined ally wheels, etc.

At least with modern Airfix you have a good chance it will actually fit together. With Pocher it used to a slim hope.

My new-tool Airfix Bf109E-4 didn't fit together, at least the wings and canopy didn't, plus it was 'designed' in such a way that you couldn't fit the pilot without cutting his legs off.

Is that all they give you? A photo & sod all else? No idea of price, availability, no photos of the kit?

What a let down for a launch. Kit should be good but I'd want to see photos before I invested in them again. Had their Testa Rossa many years ago which is probably still somewhere in the loft.

Funny, my new tool Zero and Spitfire XIX fitted together beautifully.

Isn't the aerial mast on your Airfix Zero fitted upside down wink

This guy had exactly the same issues as me with the new tool Airfix Bf109:

Personally, although very annoying for a contemporary kit, the fit issues don't bother me too much. It's the trench panel lines on most of Airfix' new toolings that I can't correct, so even though they're cheap, they don't look refined enough to my eyes at least. Each to their own though.
