Anyone collect Franklin and Danbury Mint models?

Unfortunately both Mints have now been shut down, but weren't many of their models just little jewels?

Depends on your point of view, if you weren't a scale model collector then they were probably pretty good but if you were aware of the stuff put out by real model companies, they are a bit crude.

For some of us, the little Chinese diecasts were improving with details as time went by. It was even better when a member of your family worked for Franklin Mint and were able to procure them at bi-monthly sales at their HQ in PA for 10-15% of retail value.
