Some potential bargains

Gents just been to the local model zone (Basingstoke) and they've got a sale on and alot of new stock that thought may interest some of you. (I don't work there or have any connections)

They have the tamiya 1/12 yardley mclaren M23 for £60 (someone may have this ready for collection at the parents for their birthday ) and only 1 left

Academy 1/48 F15c MSIP for £20 (I'm very tempted to build a plane could this be the one) lots of these

Academy 1/48 F111c for £20

Academy 1/48 F117a for £13 in last flight US flag underside scheme

They also had a pair of 1/20 Ebbro lotus 72E's for £50 each (normal RRP I think) what a stunning model and I'm still debating wether to go back and get it as all the bodywork is removable. And it would be the 3rd addition to my Ronnie Peterson collection.

In other news I picked up some decal soft, some tamiya brushes and finishing papers some clear red paint another can of white spray for my son arriving model and an A4 cutting mat.

I popped into the Guildford Modelzone the other day and picked up the Revell 1/144 Junkers Ju52/3m for £5.99. Pretty good considering that the normal retail price is more like £9.99 and the moulds are by Eduard.

Went to Modelzone Meadowhall today, and they had Academy 1:48 Bf109 E3, P-47 Thunderbolt (special edition with pilot), F-86 Sabre, F-117 and a few others.

Didn't realise there's one in Guildford I may take a browse at there stock. Hopefully more F1 models than Basingstoke.

Guildford does seem to have more stock, and better deals on Scalextric cars too.

It's in the downstairs part of the Friary Centre (near where the old Beatties used to be).

Cool, that means I can still park across the road as I normally cut through the Friary. Lets hope they have some F1 models I don't have and TS-56 brilliant orange as no shop has it round here
