Dusted off the RC buggy...
Discussion
...yesterday and forgot how damn fun it is!
It started of life as a slightly dubious Far East 1:10 scale XSTR Pro with 4WD. It chewed up spur gears (plastic!) in minutes so I got two cast in steel. It then snapped a motor axle; I got a better one. Then it killed two ESCs; I bought a replacement.
Bordering on giving up, I decided to upgrade to a stick (rather than trigger) controller and modern non aerial receiver; range doubled, no more snapped aerial every time it rolled.
What I finally have is a model that was meant to be £85 (I was stung for £40 import tax) but is now probably a few hundred quids worth.
But with an 11.1v lipo it goes like absolute stink (40+mph, crazy acceleration, big brushless motor) seems very robust and is an enormous amount of fun. What will I break next though?!

I like it! Well worth the effort.
Rolled my brushless RC on its second outing - my repair is 90% complete, just need to cut and fit new shell. Great fun for sure aslong as you do not get too carried away and there are not too many obstacles/crash objects around!
I hit a kerb a few times - half the time it just hopped up, the other half it crashed off them - oops!

It'll flip under full acceleration and actually chews up the grass on our lawn. Great fun!
