Here's what the HalfPints (aged 4 & 5, both girls) will be getting for Christmas.

Two kids. Three cars. Hmmm. I wonder who might benefit from the extra one.

My little'un has the Mini. Its pretty good, but the metal aerial only last a day or so until his younger brother snapped it.

The tyres are slick too, which means it struggles with grip on the carpet, but for the price it's provided plenty of fun and is still going a year later with a 6 and 4 year old playing with it. The 3 signal bands make it very tempting to get two more and complete the set like you have done.

The range is also pretty good, even with half an aerial.

Thanks for the info. They'll probably spend most of their time on laminate and tiles, so don't think the grip will be an issue. Will keep an eye out for the more delicate bits.

It's been years since I had a play with an RC car - even a basic one. smile

Where did you buy them from?

My niece has a remote control car on her Christmas wish list.

Argos. 3 for 2 this weekend, otherwise you can get 2 for 30GBP, or 20GBP each.

I've got the Citroen, it's pretty good but the steering lock is quite poor! Expect 3 point turns...

Big mistake

You are now doomed to your kids wanting ever more expensive models each year

My parents made the same mistake
