I am looking to complete my Riccardo Patrese 1/43 F1 collection, and one of the few models I need is the 1988 Williams Judd FW12. I have seen a few Tameo kits on ebay but I have no experience of them. Does onyone have any experience of the kit, eg how easy to build, quality etc?

I havnt built a modle kit for quite a few years, and never anything in 1/43. Any advise much appreciated!

I've built a few 1/43 white metal and resin kits and they are definitely not for beginners.

Although I've never built a Tameo kit, I know that they are one of the best manufacturers of kits in this scale but they are extremely intricate with lots of fiddly photo-etch to deal with.

They can produce fantastic models, with patience, care and skill. They're not in the Tamiya ballpark of falling together, there's lots of work to do to get a good fit and lots of little holes to drill.

This is what you get in a Tameo model;

plus some decals of course. As you can see, a good challenge. You can get handbuilt ones on eBay, for instance, for about £130.
