My knowledge is limited to Pocher really...

Links and shots would be great.

This is my 2000th post!

Exoto are pretty hard too beat.

Pricey but the detail on their models is hard too beat. Check out the photos on the website - i cant afford any of their stuff however i am on the mailing list simply because of the detail of the models.

Stunning pieces of kit.

Those are superb!!!

How many inches would a 1/4, 1/5 or 1/8 model be?

Errr, it depends on how big the real thing is!

Just divide whatever full size dimension you want (length, width etc.), by 4, 5 or 8.

Sorry, I should have said that I knew that bit, but was wondering what the average sort of size was? Including the display board, etc.

This will give you an idea of scale;

(There's no way that's a used workbench!)

Amalgam's large scale models are superb, if sometime lacking serious extra detail. Their 1:43 scale A1GP stuff is atrocious though.

Glen English makes some fine models. Mainly classic racing motorcycles, but some cars too:

Now that is another level.

The paint work on that Alfa is great (although still a bit too shiny for me), totally avoiding the 'thrown on with a bucket' look of so many of the readily available models. Page bookmarked.

That price seems way too low for a handbuilt model like that (even one without any engine detail).

It is incredibly cheap, you're right.
