Now that Modelzone has gone where do people buy their basic supplies from? I need some more glue and like to use the Revell Contacta in the glass bottle but I am struggling to find an online supplier with reasonable delivery charges. I normally use Hiroboy for paints but they don't seem to stock the glue.

Are there any online retailers with a decent website, I have looked at Hannants but struggle with the site.

Have you got a HobbyCraft store nearby? I've found they do the basic things needed

Other option could be ebay and amazon, or just a google shopping search

I found somewhere with reasonable shipping charges and placed an order. Had a phone call this afternoon saying they couldn't honour the price as it had to be shipped by courier at almost three times the price. My local Hobbycraft seems to be reducing the amount of model equipment they are stocking.

I use few places, the main two being these,

http://www.emodels.co.uk/plastic-kits/

http://www.modelsrgo.co.uk/

The service from both is good, and if one doesn't have something I want, the other generally does.
If these are no good here is bigger list,

seconds googling model shops nottingham gave lots of hits

This looks easy (if you ARE in Nottingham) their web page lists all the stuff I'd be looking for

If you aren't in Nottingham I suggest this method for where you are

GD may well be getting a visit from me, next time I'm in the eastern provinces. Far more choice than my LMS

Modelzone are still going to an extent in selected WHSmith shops: Cardiff, Croydon, Gateshead Metro Centre, Glasgow Sauchiehall, Kingston-upon-Thames, London White City, Manchester Arndale, Meadowhall and Reading

They don't stock Tamiya consumables in mine, so I never buy anything there; I use my local models shops (Antics and Marcway Models, Hobbycraft if desperate).

I think Hannants only ship glues/solvents etc. with a kit purchase (or that's what used to happen).

I have used Gee Dee before and should probably shop there more often to support a local business. I might have to take a trip in to the shop to have a look at the 1/12th scale Revell Ford Mustang that is on the website.
