Slot cars for a 3 year old?
Discussion
It's the middle child's 3rd birthday coming up, and I am considering getting him a slot car set. I know he's right on the youngest age limit, but would only be used supervised and I'm pretty sure older sister will want to join in.
The sets I'm looking at are the Scalextric Micro Bash n Crash and one of the Carrera Go Pixar Cars sets. Durability is paramount, rather than performance. Expandability isn't such a great concern - if they like it we'll trade up to 'proper' size Scalextric when they're a bit older. There doesn't seem to be a lot between them in terms of price, although larger Carrera Pixar sets are available with bigger tracks.
Anyone got any experience of either of these two?

We have micro Scalextrix a mini set and a Disney cars set. Certainly fine for a 3 year old with a bit of practice. Not the most reliable though and the track can be fragile. I've spent a lot of time making sure it works properly.
I got the eldest (5) a cops n robbers full size set this year for Christmas. His sister plays with it as well and she is 3.5 no problem keeping it on track but she struggled with the micro.
Can't comment on Carrera.
