Tips, suppliers, resources for scratch modelling?
Discussion
Not for me but my 17 year old daughter doing an A level project.
She is half way through planning the redevelopment of a local building as part of a regeneration project.
Shes looking to build an accurate 3d architects model complete with landscape, car parks etc etc
Any good links she can look at to get ideas from, ie. how to make individual elements or where to buy standard things like street furniture etc?
cheers

There are quite a few architectural model suppliers. A quick google will give you a working list to browse through.
Alternatively, ordinary model shops and on-line suppliers will have basic materials in stock such as platicard, rod, sheet, glues, paints etc etc.
I am lucky here in Farnborough in that we have a small model supply shop literally five minutes walk from me and he is great for the basics.

I guess it depends a lot on style and scale. If it's about model railway scale ie oo or n gauge, then street furniture and stuff like brick paper and other accessories like trees and scenics are widely available from model railway suppliers. Might even be worth scaling the model to suit this to get access to the materials easily available? Lots of links online on railway detailing.
If in the railway scales as above there are loads available. What might be good is www.scalescenes.com
You can get various kits or scratch building designs. They come as PDF files so you could adjust the print size if necessary.
