Can you identify this RC car?

Yep, a HPI Savage, even without the body the twin vertical plate (TVP) chassis gives it away. Great 'little' trucks those, the SS is the .21 version iirc?
I had the .25 version many years ago (gone electric now as I got fed up with nitro in the end) and it was a great thing to play with, it needed a few upgrades out of the box (they were added as stock parts later on I think (certainly the diffs)); four gear differentials, a reverse gear box and twin disk brakes.
Mine was rock solid once you got it started it wouldn't shut off unless the glow plug blew or it ran out of fuel. They are also almost indestructible in normal running. My only gripe was it had to be totally disassembled to work on it properly because of the TVP chassis.
